Tiger Box
Project Number 2
At the time of writing I can not publish this blog, for once I have made a gift well before it needs to be given. This will be set to auto publish the following day...
My challenge with this box was to get a main picture in the foreground without it being broken by the handle, but to then complete a scenery without the handle looking too odd.
Still to varnish this item, I will remember my error from last time.

Box for Christmas
I have dabbled with the idea of Pyrography in the past, and we decided this year to include a Pyrographical item in our list of gifts to be given. This was my first attempt at doodling with the Pyrography Iron.
Made a huge mistake when I decided to varnish the box, doing so late at night before wrapping it to go under the tree. I varnished it closed.
Fortunately we tried looking inside the box just before wrapping it. The lid was glued very firmly shut.
Being softwood I could not prise it open, eventually I discovered placing a carving knife the full length of the sealed openning the bonding easily gave way. Phew!
